The Ottawa Senators are getting their goalie back in the crease.
After sitting out of game action for over a month, Linus Ullmark is set to return to the Senators’ crease against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday, the team confirmed.
Ullmark’s return has been in the cards of late, as he has backed up in each of the team's past two games.
The 32-year-old returned to the ice with the Senators on Jan. 13, and head coach Travis Green said recently that the team would take his potential day-by-day.
Ullmark has been away from the team since Dec. 29 for personal reasons. The Senators have called on a group of Leevi Merilainen, Mads Sogaard, Hunter Shepard and the newly signed James Reimer in Ullmark’s absence.
This season, the Swedish netminder has struggled with a 14-8-5 record with a 2.95 goals-against average and .881 save percentage.
